Language Policy

The Editors will only consider papers for publication that are written in both advanced German or advanced English. It will be the sole responsibility of the authors to ensure high linguistic quality. To achieve this, authors whose first language is not English or German will be asked to have their papers language-edited by a native speaker at the authors’ expenses.

Successful performance of language editing does not guarantee by itself that the paper will be published, but is meant as a means of improving the intelligibility of its academic content for editors, peer reviewers, and the readership of the Journal.

The authors will be required to agree to these terms by ticking the respective box in the submission questionnaire.

Regardless of this mandatory language editing, proof-reading – as a last step prior to publishing the issue – may include a final check by a native speaker commissioned by the Editorial Office.
