Focus and Scope
Research Papers
The journal publishes research articles only.
Contributions to the journal must be previously unpublished. Papers may cover a wide range of topics in the fields relevant to religion in education, either focusing on empirical studies, conceptual theories, historical studies or state of the art reviews. The journal welcomes contributions with a spatial or cross-nationally comparative perspective.
Submissions are subject to double-blind peer review and are selected for publication based on quality, innovativeness, relevance, and fit with journal scope.
Special Issues
RpB publishes special issues, which are centered around a single research topic and dealing with a broad array of specific aspects of that topic. Special issues are being prepared and supervised by guest editors upon invitation from the editors. Proposals from the academic community for preparing a special issue are also welcome at all times and will be decided upon by the editors. Usually, it takes one and a half year from the acceptance of such a proposal to online publication. A maximum of two issues per annum may be dedicated to special issues.
